I'm back. Money has been very very VERY tight lately. We've lost 50% of our income at the moment so our Virgin account was suspended. Thankfully we managed to pay the bill this week so I am back.
It has been a whole month, and I have no exciting news. Maybe I just can't think of any at 1.30am.
At least Erin is back to sleeping through. Touch wood.
And Big Brother. I'll probably cut my BB rantings from here on out for those of you on my FL (if there are any of you left) who do not care for such drivel :P
It was just a quick update right now to say I am still very much alive and will be back to boring you all!

Why is it when people call you and you politely tell them they have the wrong number they have to ask 'are you sure?'
Why else would you say 'wrong number'.

I keep getting calls for people called Mr & Mrs Pratt. I just had one and told the guy that sorry but he had the wrong number. He asked me if I was sure, I laughed and asked him why else would I say that? He replied.. 'oh cause you sound like a Pratt'!
I just told him the same could be said about him. Then he called back and I answered and knowing it was him, said 'oh is this the pratt again?' Honestly it was funny but I am pretty pissed off. I told him to remove my number from whichever database he is using and he said it was the pratt database.
I then tried to ask him which company he worked for but he had hung up. And no luck with 1471.

Ok, I am laughing about it now, but my landline seems to be a magnet for wrong numbers.
My number is VERY close to a local taxi firm so I am getting tired of answering the phone at stupid times at the weekend to drunk people requesting taxis.
I had another wrong number the other day who started his conversation saying 'Who is this?' Sorry you're the one calling ME, who the f*ck are YOU.

Basically every game I owned for my C64. I remember coming home from school and catching my mum playing it. Naughty mummy got caught with the Christmas present! I was doing cartwheels round the sitting room.

I liked all the Dizzy games and Flimbo's Quest. Never did complete that game.

I want to write to my MSP to put forward the proposal of fitting carbon monoxide alarms in all homes with a gas supply.
It is law that they have to fit fire alarms so why shouldn't they also fit carbon monoxide alarms?
It's alarming the amount of deaths still happening because of deadly carbon monoxide gases being leaked into homes, and there is an easy way to fix it.

An average alarm costs around £30, which is about the same as the cost for two fire alarms, which most council houses have. Yes, people could by their own, which is what I will be doing, but what of those without the means to afford it. £30 might not seem much to some people, but for others it's a fairly heavy expense, although it is something that would save lives.
Those little cards that change colour never seem to work properly, and the fact that an alarm would wake you up at night if something happened to go wrong make them seem like a much safer option.

Even gas companies can include an alarm in the price of the cost to fit and connect a gas supply. It seems a simple way to stop horrible accidents which don't need to happen, from doing so.
